CHAIRMAN

Maulana M. Syuhada

Maulana M. Syuhada holds a PhD degree in Management Science from Lancaster University, UK. His passion in arts, music, and culture, has led him to engage in many activities that promote Indonesian arts and culture. He co-founded some traditional music groups, such as Angklung Hamburg Orchestra (2002), Sabilulungan (2003), Lancaster Angklung Orchestra (2009), Angklung Manchester (2012), and Tim Muhibah Angklung (2015). He is the author of “40 Days in Europe” (2007), a memoir about his experience leading an angklung group (KPA 3) in a seemingly “impossible journey” across Europe for 40 days. With Sembilan Matahari Film, he is currently working on a film titled “The Journey”, a documentary about his journey with Tim Muhibah Angklung in 2016. Maulana received his BEng in Industrial Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and MSc in International Production Management from Technische Universität Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH), Germany. mochamad achir

Mochamad Achir is a news anchor and producer of LIPUTAN 6 SCTV, a leading daily news programme in Indonesia. He has been working with SCTV for twelve years since he won runner up at National News Presenter Competition in 2004. He then held a post as SCTV political correspondent at presidential palace for five years where he travelled to many countries covering some important events such as OIC, APEC and G20 summit, to name a few. Besides daily news, he also produces some other SCTV news programmes, including talk show “Indonesia Baru bersama Slank”, 2014 National Election coverage, travelling programme “Ngubek-ngubek”, Presiden Menjawab eps. Dialog Akhir dengan Jokowi (nominated for Best Talk Show, KPI Awards 2017) and many others. Story telling has been his passion since he was at university where he produced his first documentary film, “Gerbang yang Hilang”. Recently, he was nominated for Best Talk Show Presenter, KPI AWARDS 2017, along with some prominent presenters such as Karni Ilyas (TV One), Aiman (Kompas TV), Deddy Corbuzier (Trans 7), and Sarah Sechan (Net TV). Achir holds a BA in International Relations from Padjadjaran University and a BSc in Mathematics from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). Fedri rinawan

Fedri Rinawan is a medical doctor and also lecturer in Universitas Padjadjaran. He believes that life should be colourful, and that makes he decides to support Angklung activities. He has learned Angklung and its percussion since 1994 in Keluarga Paduan Angklung (KPA) SMA 3 Bandung. In 2001, he became a conductor in the KPA Angklung concert. In 2009, he trained children in a kindergarten Amsterdam to play Angklung while he was also busy completing his Master course. In 2012, while attending a Doctoral course in Japan, he joined Chiba Indonesia Society in which japanese people love Indonesia by providing Angklung sets for 2-weekly routine practice. After he graduated PhD in 2016, he is currently active in Tim Muhibah Angklung. He believes that Angklung can build personal and interpersonal soft-skills such as coordination, communication, responsibility, empathy and harmony. These skills can contribute much benefits to life. Principal Conductor AND HEAD TRAINER: Irma Noerhaty

Irma Noerhaty is a prominent angklung figure from Bandung who has more than 30 years of experience in teaching angklung. She learnt angklung for the first time in 1988 when she joined Keluarga Paduan Angklung SMA Negeri 3 Bandung (KPA 3) where she then became conductor, trainer and steering committee of the group. She was also a member of KPA ITB and became the trainer from 1993 to 1997. She has been a regular jury for several big angklung competitions in Indonesia: Festival Paduan Angklung (FPA) ITB, Bianglala Festival, and many other angklung competitions. Khoerunnisa Fiqriyah (Khoer)

Khoer is a Psychology student at Padjadjaran University who has an interest in music and human resources. She has been learning and playing angklung since she was 12 years old. In 2018, she coached the angklung team of SMPN 3 Bandung. She joined Tim Muhibah Angklung in 2017 and has been performing with the team both at home and abroad, including in Australia and Europe (2018). Now, she serves as the Vice-Chair of the team in charge of most performing-related divisions: training, vocal, costume & make-up, supportive instrument and festival. She is also the Head of Training Division who is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the training. Nisrina Hasna Khairunnisa (Hasna)

Hasna has been interested in angklung since primary school. She was the Vice-Chair of ACHOR (angklung orchestra), an extracurricular unit at her secondary school, SMPN 44 Bandung. In 2016, ACHOR got 1st place at FPA XIV ITB, one of the two most prominent national angklung competitions in Indonesia. This achievement earned her an admission to SMAN 20 Bandung. There she founded an angklung orchestra called Twenty Bamboo. Hasna joined Tim Muhibah Angklung in June 2017 and was part of the team that made the journey to Australia and Europe in 2018. Upon returning from European journey, she took the role as assistant trainer and conductor. She is the Vice Chair of the team in charge of five divisions: inventory/logistics, transportation, accommodation, sports and health & safety. She is a student of Padjadjaran University, pursuing her bachelor degree in the Faculty of Nursing.

Giany Fadia Haya (Giany)

Giany is a Digital Marketing student at Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Padjadjaran University. She has a great interest in culture and arts since she was in high school. In 2013, she was chosen as the Chairman of Arts Extracurricular Unit in SMPN 8 Bandung consisting of 4 divisions: Karawitan Gamelan Sunda, Vocal Group, Traditional Dance, and Angklung. In 2016, she won 1st place in Mojang Jajaka Competition in SMAN 24 Bandung and awarded “Mojang Pinilih” (Ambassador of Sundanese culture at her school). There she successfully reactivated Arts Extracurricular Unit and Mojang Jajaka, which had been inactive for a long time by holding various collaboration events with the Student Council. She continued her passion in organisation at the university by establishing Digital Marketing Student Union where she is selected as its first Vice President. Despite her super busy organisational activities, she manages to perform extraordinarily well in academic by gaining maximum GPA of 4.0 for two consecutive semesters. Giany joined Tim Muhibah Angklung in June 2017 and was part of the team that made the journey to Australia and Europe in 2018. Now, she is serving as Vice-Chair of the team supervising six divisions: website, social media, vlog, documentary, dance, and sponsorship.

Rivanka Diaryzki (Rivan)

Rivan is a student of Padjadjaran University majoring in Islamic Economics at Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). Traditional music has been his passion. In 2017, he founded a traditional extracurricular unit called “Lingkung Seni Sunda” (LISES) at his secondary school, SMAN 24 Bandung. He is the Manager of Musical and Performance Division at Keluarga Angklung FEB UNPAD 2020. Rivan joined Tim Muhibah Angklung in 2017 and was part of the team who made the journey to Australia and Europe in 2018. He is currently serving as Head of Inventory and Logistics Division of the team.
