Muhibah Angklung : Picnic Concert

MELBOURNE, KJRI Melbourne -This will be a unique cultural performance blending traditional and contemporary music into one
seamless showcase of sound and performance within a relaxed and informal family picnic setting.


Angklung is recognised by UNESCO as one of the few world’s intangible cultural heritage.
Tim Muhibah Angklung, a team consisted of highly dedicated 40 high school musicians led by Dr. Maulana Syuhada, determined to preserve and promote the beauty of Angklung with their unique concept of the art.

After attending several world-class festivals in Aberdeen in Scotland, Cerveny Kostelec in Czech and Zakopane in Poland and holding concerts in several European countries such as Germany, France, and Belgium, Tim Muhibah Angklung will make a brief stop in Melbourne at the start of their Australian tour.

In collaboration with General Consulate of Indonesia in Melbourne, Pandan Victoria proudly presents the award winning performance of Tim Muhibah Angklung, here in Melbourne!

Let’s show our support to these Young Culture Warriors in their journey to preserve and promote Indonesian cultural heritage at KJRI, 72 Queens Road, Melbourne, Victoria

Free Concert at a picnic. BYO picnic food and rugs.
Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

How to get there:
Walk, drive or take the 3, 5, 6, 16 or 64 tram and get off at tram stop 27 in front of Wesley College at St.Kilda rd. Cross the street to the nearest post office, the aisle next to it will get you to KJRI Melbourne South gate (Queens Ln).

If you are driving, parking are available along St.Kilda Rd, Queens Rd and at the parking area at Lakeside Dr, across from KJRI
